Ronaldo to the NFL?

Posted By on December 23, 2016

Christiano Ronaldo is a man on fire! Fresh off a year in which he dominated the soccer world for club and country, winning the Champions league, Euro 2016, FIFA Club world Cup, and the coveted Ballon d’Or award, Ronaldo is at the top of the world. What more can this man accomplish in the sporting world, you ask? Well, RWNN has learned that Ronaldo has his eyes set on football of another sorts. AMERICAN FOOTBALL!.

This is certainly exciting news for both our American and European readership. Sources tell RWNN that after visiting the New York Jets facility in 2014 with his Real Madrid team, Ronaldo has been unable to shake a desire to test his mettle against the best the NFL has to offer. And now that he has conquered the soccer world, Ronaldo is seeking to turn this desire into reality.

With his unique blend of speed, footwork, and strength, Ronaldo believes he could be a significant asset to any NFL team at the Wide-Receiver position. Our more intrepid readers may recall that Odell Beckham Jr. enjoyed a prodigious soccer career prior to becoming a phenom in the NFL. Odell’s example provides a good benchmark for the translation of Portuguese footballer’s talent to American football. Given his proficiency in soccer, Roanldo believes he could also take on place-kicking duties for any organization lucky enough to sign him. While the logistics of his schedule would have to be worked out and it is likely he would be flying back and forth between Europe and the USA during the season, if anyone can do it, it is surely Ronaldo.

RWNN will have more information as this story develops- one thing is for certain, we cannot wait for his American debut.
